This MLK Day I'm working...
Diane Isler • January 18, 2021
While I cannot know the experience of those whose skin color differs from my own,
I work to see you with my eyes open so I may understand.
While I may never agree with those whose conclusions about life differ from my own,
I work to hear you with my mind open so I may understand.
While I cannot feel the pain of those who are persecuted because they are different from me,
I work to be available with empathy so I may understand and aid.
